Italian Cuisine
The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.
Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.
If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

Wonderful service and food. We tried the clam linguini, alla puttanesca, and the portobello ravioli. The puttanesca was very spicy, but wonderfully flavorful. The half order is plenty of food. Prices were reasonable for the amount of food you receive. The server was very attentive and we will definitely be back.

Driving home from Door County and we took 42 for a disappointing scenic route that someone recommended. We wanted lunch and found this place from searching yelp. Pulling in to park was weird because most of the parking is across the street, and the building is so close to the road that I think there was only a couple spots. The garlic bread was good, just like the other reviewers said. The pizza was good, but the crust was not very good, like one reviewer said. The toppings were fresh and the sausage had good flavor. The soup was cream of chicken rice--One of my favorites. It was very thick, but wow was it good! It had lots of chunky ingredients and not too salty. My salad was not very good. It reminded me of a side salad from Wendy's, and it was somewhat ruined by the blue cheese dressing. Very bland and tiny bits of cheese. They could have done so much better with just some good dressing. My shrimp linguine was decent. It had a lot of fresh garlic in it and wasn't completely drowned in butter/oil. They shrimp was great. I did the half order by yelp recommendation and I thought it was small for the price. I probably sound like a pig based on the food I listed, but my girlfriend and I shared our food! The service was good--Refills were perfect. Overall, it was just ok. If I had to compare them to an Italian food chain, Olive Garden, Luigi's doesn't compete. Of course, this is just a small town.

We had dinner and were very satisfied. I would recommend ordering the half portion, as the full portions were huge. The prices were very reasonable and the atmosphete was quaint. There was a lot to choose from on the menu. The only reason that I did not give it four stars was that the marinara sauce was way too sweet for my taste.

Nice ambiance, w/dual dining areas and a cozy bar area. Large menu, good drink selection and the service was solid. Less than decent parking but fair prices and worth crossing the street! We had two drinks, two 1/2 orders of pasta and one dessert for less than $40. I recommend!

Everyone has raved about the food. They might want to try some seasoning in their food very bland sweet sauces, nearly straight tomato sauce. I ordered the pollo parmigiana and the meat was so over cooked and tough, I had trouble cutting. Price is good. Service was pretty good. If this is the best Italian in this area, I'm glad I'm just visiting

I got the pasta sampler and could tell it was cheap noodles boiled quickly with plain marinara sauce added. Nothing special and overpriced. However, my boyfriend got a Calzone and it was delicious, I recommend getting something you KNOW they will have to take time to put together. My meal was not impressive. His was delicious.

MMMmmm Good stuff. This is a branch from the Manitowoc Luigi's I believe and it's pretty good stuff if you are craving Italian Cuisine. The Manitowoc location is a bit better if you want to make the trip, but , it's definitely a close second. If we ask the kids where they'd like to go, it's Luigis. Most meals we've eaten here, have been good and flavorful. The decorating could be a bit better as it's a bit cluttered and cheesy, but, I'm there for the food, not the atmosphere. They have crayons that the kids can color with, which is nice but you have to ask for them as they don't offer them up right away. I'm a big fan as a parent of the crayons etc, as the kids get a bit restless waiting for food, as it does take a bit longer, but it's definitely worth the wait. I usually get my food delivered at home to avoid the wait. Quick delivery, courteous staff, and delivery drivers have always been very polite.

I really do enjoy this place, its small and the food is good. But on my last visit my wife and I were the only people in the place and it took just short of an1/2 hour to get our food. I really love the combanation sandwich, it a lot of food for a good price.

Best kept secret in Two Rivers. We've visited Luigi's for the third year in a row. This is an authentic Italian restaurant with many food choices, including pizza. Our favorite is spaghetti, meatballs with marinara sauce, and garlic bread. Veal piccata is our second choice. And don't leave without having their Tiramisu - the best !

My family of four all really enjoyed their dinners here on a busy holiday weekend. The service was fast and friendly and the portions large enough for leftovers if you want. With soup or salad plus garlic bread included with the meal, the price was definitely right. We had Spaghetti with Meatball (yes, just one), pizza and Mostacciolli Caprese. The crust is not the best on the pizza, but the sauce is good and the toppings generous. We would most definitely go back the next time we're in the area.

The garlic bread was great. If that is the opener the rest should be fantastic. What a disappointment. Rolls of deep fried breakfast bacon on the bottom of the plate with scrambled egg and spaghetti dumped on top. No onion, garlic, sauce, seasoning, or flavor. The marina sauce tasted like thinned down Hunt's tomato paste. Slow service. I guess that is why the place was empty by 7:30 on a Friday night.

Luigi's offers some of the finest Italian food you'll ever taste. They have many delicious traditional dishes that you would find at most Italian restaurants. But what really sets them apart from the average Italian restaurant is the assortment of entrees that have come from family members over the years. One of my favorite dishes is called Spaghetti Alla Puttanesca. It is spaghetti tossed with salami and green olives in a hot marinara sauce. I'm also very fond of the Pollo Pappagallo. This dish has grilled chicken, artichokes, tomatoes, and mushrooms sauteed in a wine sauce. Yum! You would not believe the extensive menu selections they offer. Check out their menu in person or on the web. They offer a full bar service as well. Nice atmosphere, kid friendly, smoke free, great food. foodspot.com/luigistwori…

I was on a drive up to Door County and we where going to go to somewhere we have tried before and liked , but it was closed. We just found the closest place to it , and this is what we found. We did not think this would be a great place because when we came in there was no one there. We sat down and ordered. We got our food quickly and mine came with garlic bread witch was great. It was some of the best italian I've ever had. I highly recommend this place if your ever in the area.

I was utterly surprised. This place does not have the décor (besides some photos of Italy) of your typical family Italian restaurant. However, they did deliver with the quality of food. Being from Milwaukee I hold Italian restaurants to a high standard. I have to say in the category of casual dining you'd be hard pressed to find better...
